Youth Sweet Corn Fundraiser
Fundraiser for weekend mission trip. By Julie and Bob Harker
JoAnn and Lowell Mohler, for a second year in a row, let Grace Youth group members and parents come out to their farm to pick sweet corn right off the stalks. We picked eight rows of corn the evening of July 12th, filling the Mohler’s pickup truck bed. Early Sunday, the Mohlers brought the truck to church where we sold the corn, before, during and after both services. We made more than $375 that will support the St. Louis Mission Trip. Unsold corn was donated to Salvation Army and Goodwill. We appreciate the Mohlers for contributing their time, their truck, and their corn to this mission! Thanks to Lowell for training the pickers and picking corn himself, to JoAnn for driving the truck, to both of them for bagging it, to those who helped us pick and/or bag the corn (Sarah Harker, Wes Harbison, D’Arcy & Nick Crane, Debbie & Gabrielle Crossnoe and John Harker). And THANKS VERY MUCH to those who bought corn!
